Lagnat Laki Mix - A DJ Mix by Spazzkid

Here's a very cool and out-of-this-world mix set performed by none other than the Spazzkid himself. I really enjoyed listening to his very unique set as he was able to fuse in different genres of music including some classic OPM hits from Gary V and VST & Company.

He mentions that he was stricken with some colds, cough and fever and spent most of the time in bed and when he felt better, recorded this spur-of-the-moment mix with some random samples and songs that he had on his DJ rig at that time (just to let us know how he came out with such a unique mix title).

Another excellent and very creative (if I may say so) kind of mix to perk up your weekend from the master of cutting, pasting, mashing, sampling, randomizing, freaking us out and what have you... the Spazzkid.

Samples and songs used (in no particular order):

1) aphex twin - window licker

2) daft punk- harder better faster stronger
3) 50 cent - In da club
4) marvic sotto/vst - ill sing, cmon dance
5) dfa1979 - sexy results
6) spazzkid - dreamer
7) justice vs simian mobile disco - we are your friends
8) hotchip - ready for the floor
9) michael jackson - billy jean
10) pedicab - simulan mo na
11) pedicab - ang pusa mo
12) lcd soundsystem - daft punk is playing at my house
13) gary valenciano - di bale na lang
14) the streets - all goes out the window
15) the avalanches - when i left you

All I can say is that this mix is definitely ear candy. Kudos to you my man and hoping for more music eclecticism in your upcoming sets that only the Spazz can deliver. I definitely had a blast listening to it! PEACE!! :)

OPM Set - UltraElektroMagneticMix - Spazzkid vs. The Eraserheads

First, would like to welcome Spazzkid as one of our permanent resident DJs here alongside me and DJ MoProd to deliver those outstanding mixes, mash-ups and remixes from all music genres. Superb Pinoy talent indeed!!

Am quite very excited with today's mix as it was recorded from a live set performed by Spazzkid at Saguijo in Makati City, Philippines last June 14th. Too bad I wasn't able to catch it. Luckily, he posted it back at his multiply site, so that us mortals would be able to listen to his amazing mix and mash of one of the most influential bands in OPM history, The Eraserheads.

A brief backgrounder on The Eraserheads... Formed by Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro, they were a prominent local band in the 90s and can be considered as one of the most successful and critically acclaimed in the history of OPM. They also paved the way for other alternative bands during that decade and have released singles, albums and EPs that have all reached number one.

I'm sure all Pinoy E-heads fans out there would definitely enjoy Spazzkid's set (including me, hehe).

Tracklist:
1) Kailan
2) Slomo
3) Alapaap - nice remix man!!; my fave E-heads tune.
4) Superproxy - really loved that Breakbeat touch!!

After enjoying Spazz's mix, I've decided to call the band "Elektroheads" for the meantime, hehe. :)

Oh Eight, Summer Ender Mix - DJ Mix by Spazzkid

Summer is about to end here in Manila (too bad :( ), and what better way to end it than with this different kind of DJ mix from Spazzkid, another fellow Pinoy, who's more of an electronic musician (some call it live PA), than a DJ, but he can deliver great DJ mixes done the Spazzkid way. He even has done some remixes for other fellow electronica guys.
Spazzkid recently invited me to his multiply site and I was quite amazed by his original tracks, mostly electronic, lo-fi music, coupled in with some breaks, electro and house. He also has several DJ mixes, which I also dig, coz' I love hearing new sounds every now and then to broaden my musical sphere and satisfy my eclectic taste.

You can learn more about him and hear more of his tunes and mixes by visiting his multiply site @ http://spazzkid.multiply.com/ .

I am featuring his latest mix, a summer ender, with quite a cool title and unique album cover. (thanks for the pics BTW bro).

If you're in the mood listening to some new stuff, mostly of the indie alternative to lo-fi to disco punk/electro vibe, you'd definitely enjoy this set.

Tracklist (REPOST):
1) Siriusmo - Girls Rock
2) Louise La Roche - Love
3) James Figurine - Apologies
4) Fred Falke - Megaman
5) Neon Neon - I lust you
6) M.I.T.C.H. - Fais Rentrer Les Euros (Feat. Uffie)
7) Calvin Harris - Merry Making

8) Crystal Castles - Untrust Us
9) Chromeo - 100 Percent
10) Chromeo - Fancy Footwork
11) Tokyo Police Club - Juno
12) PNAU - Come Together
13) Cut Copy - Lights and Music
14) Breakbot - The Summer Party

Another great Pinoy talent is in the house. Nice job bro and hope to hear more electronic beats and bleeps in the future.
